Johnny Depp, Little Hall's Pond Cay

Swashbuckler Johnny Depp bought Little Hall's Pond Cay, a 35-acre island in the Exumas for an undisclosed price, but the asking price was $3.5 million.

Johnny Depp's solar powered island is one mile long and 1,300 feet wide with a cottage and Tiki hut. The island boasts six white sand beaches surrounded by some of the world's most beautiful reefs. The beaches are named after Depp's wife, Vanessa Paradis, and their children, Lily Rose and Jack. Depp's mentors, Hunter S. Thompson and Marlon Brando also have beaches named after them, each with their own cove and personality. Depp says Hunter's beach is "the most savage and exposed of all the beaches. Gonzo Beach is pure Hunter." Another patch of water is called "Heath's Place" after the late actor Heath Ledger.

Little Hall's Pond Cay

Depp gets around the island in a fleet of green golf carts. His Caribbean island sits in the protected Exuma Land And Sea Park about 60 miles south of Nassau. The island is accessible only by seaplane, boat or helicopter. Depp arrives in his private harbour aboard his 156 foot steam powered boat called Vajoliroja. The boat uses the first two letters of Vanessa, Johnny, Lily Rose and Jack.

The primitive pirate themed hideaway is a perfect escape from paparazzi, especially for a guy who refers to his place as ""F**k Off Island". Depp says that on the island, if anyone's going to take your picture, you can see them coming for half a mile away.
